Former West Indies fast bowler Anthony Gray has been removed as chairman of the national selection panel.
Gray was recently selected as chairman of the national senior team selection committee but his appointment was short-lived, as he was removed by the executive of the T&T Cricket Board (TTCB), due to the fact that he was appointed assistant coach of the Windies B team for the current Regional Super50 Tournament.

Sources close to the situation said that head coach Kelvin Williams has replaced him as chairman of the panel for the meanwhile.
Gray, who has been a national selector for quite a while, is expected to return as chairman when the Super50 ends. His immediate duty will be to help select the T&T Red Force team for the Regional Professional Cricket League (PCL), which gets going at the end of November.
The other members of the selection panel are Williams, manager Roland Sampath and David Furlonge the national Under-19 coach.
The Red Force team for the PCL is expected to look much different than the team taking part in the current Super50, as most of the senior players who are currently on the team will be unavailable due to Twenty20 (T20) commitments.
T&T Red Force finished last at the last PCL and will be looking for a much-improved performance for the 2018/2019 tournament. The franchise lost five of their 10 matches, four of which were two to one, defeats. They won two matches and drew three.
