Guardian Media's senior Sports Reporter Vinode Mamchan has been appointed a judge by the International Cricket Council (ICC) to adjudicate on the performances of the players for the year 2019.
Mamchan will join a small band of journalists and former players from around the world to name the Cricketer of the Year male and female in all formats of the game. He will also give his opinion in selecting the best All-Star teams for all formats of the game for the same period.
This is the third time that the world body has installed Mamchan on this panel. The journalist/commentator has travelled the world covering several bi-lateral series involving the West Indies and other ICC World Events. Sor far for 2019 he covered several series involving West and Caribbean players. He covered the Women's World T20 in the Caribbean last November and in this July he covered the ICC World Cup in England.
