T&T Under-15 batsman Justin Jaggessar was voted most valuable player on the West Indies Under-15 team tour of England last month.
The right-hander ended the rain-truncated tour with a half-century and started with 166. Only three out of nine matches were played on the tour with the Windies U-15 winning all three matches that were possible, ensuring that skipper Andrew Rambaran came home unbeaten.
In the final match, West Indies U-15 batted first against the Barmy Army Colts and was bowled out for 181. Leading the way was Jaggessar with the Presentation College, Chaguanas student scoring 51. Also among the runs were Rambaran who got 38 and J Johnson 39.
When the Barmy Army went in to bat, they were humbled for 120, as Johnson 3/18, I Thorne 2/9 and N Sealy 2/21 proved too hot to handle. At the end of the tour, Jaggessar was awarded the most valuable player trophy, as well as the best batsman.
