Match Day 13 took place last Tues­day at the home of darts Kos­mos Mem­bers Club Port-of-Spain. Di­vi­sion A teams had a bye but the en­ter­tain­ment was high oc­tane as the B di­vi­sion teams did not dis­ap­point.

The B di­vi­sion league lead­ers Jus For Fun took on third place Pub House Pi­rates. The last time these two met it was an ex­cit­ing clash, and it was no dif­fer­ent this time around as the Pi­rates raced to a 3-1 lead ear­ly on, the score was even­tu­al­ly 5-4 in favour of the Pi­rates with the 1001 match to go. Jus For Fun need­ed vic­to­ry to draw the en­counter, how­ev­er, the Pi­rates got over the line win­ning 6-4 hand­ing Jus For Fun their first de­feat of the sea­son.

Sec­ond-placed Scor­pi­ons edged clos­er to se­cur­ing pro­mo­tion af­ter a very con­vinc­ing 9-1 vic­to­ry over Ran­dom Squad. Fourth-placed CB Shoot­ers lost to fifth-place Sea Wolves 6-4. The en­counter was tied 2-2 at one stage but the Wolves pulled away in the sin­gles round.

Bot­tom of the ta­ble Top Shot got their first vic­to­ry of the sea­son de­feat­ing Bull­dogs 6-4. Cap­tain of Top Shot, Ken Quash led by ex­am­ple get­ting vi­tal fin­ish­es in all four games he was in­volved in en­sur­ing his team got over the line.

The ac­tion con­tin­ues Tues­day at the home of darts Kos­mos Mem­bers Club Port-of-Spain. The bat­tle for pro­mo­tion will be very in­ter­est­ing as Scor­pi­ons face E-Z Lines who need to get some points off the A Di­vi­sion lead­ers, while Jus For Fun take on CB Shoot­ers, and Pub House Pi­rates face bot­tom-of-the-ta­ble Top Shot. The Pi­rates would be hop­ing to get vic­to­ry and re­sults in oth­er games go their way.

Youth Co-or­di­na­tor Gunesh Gup­tar will be host­ing a youth league tour­na­ment com­menc­ing Oc­to­ber 8 at St. An­tho­ny’s Col­lege from 2:30 p.m. and con­tin­u­ing every Sun­day.
