GEORGE­TOWN - Hay­ley Matthews won two of the top prizes award­ed at the prize­giv­ing cer­e­mo­ny of the Colo­nial Med­ical In­sur­ance Women’s Su­per50 Cup in Guyana.

Matthews fin­ished the tour­na­ment as the lead­ing wick­et-tak­er with 17 wick­ets and the top all-rounder with 233 runs and 17 wick­ets.

Oth­er win­ners on the night were, De­an­dra Dot­tin of Bar­ba­dos, who copped the award for most runs, fin­ish­ing with 299 runs and eighth­wick­ets for her bowl­ing ef­forts. T&T’s Kar­ish­ma Ramharack who took the most catch­es, to­tal­ing six. Bar­ba­dos’ wick­et-keep­er Ky­cia Knight had the most dis­missals with sev­en (5 catch­es and 2 stump­ings).

Bar­ba­dos fin­ished the tour­na­ment 5 points clear of T&T, by virtue of win­ning their round five clash, as both teams en­tered this round, one point apart. De­an­dra Dot­tin with a blis­ter­ing 73 runs and 6/43, en­sured her team lift­ed the ti­tle for a sec­ond con­sec­u­tive year.

The Crick­et West In­dies Women’s T20 Blaze starts to­day from 9 am, all three match­es will be played at the Na­tion­al Sta­di­um in Prov­i­dence.
