T&T in­ter­na­tion­al Kevin Moli­no fired in a goal in each half as De­fence Force came from be­hind to beat Club San­do Moru­ga 5-1 for an eighth straight win from as many match­es in the 2024/2025 T&T Pre­mier Foot­ball League (TTPFL) Tier I at the Ari­ma Mu­nic­i­pal Sta­di­um on Sat­ur­day.

With the win, De­fence Force un­der the guid­ance of first-year coach and for­mer So­ca War­riors World Cup mid­field­er Den­sill Theobald moved to a max­i­mum of 24 points, six more than MIC Cen­tral FC Re­boot while de­fend­ing cham­pi­on AC Port-of-Spain is third with 15 points from sev­en match­es, one more than San Juan Jabloteh.

At Ari­ma on Sat­ur­day night, Shack­iel Hen­ry fired strug­gling Club San­do Moru­ga in­to a shock third-minute lead which his team held un­til the in­form Moli­no drew the league lead­ers lev­el in the 32nd minute.

Three min­utes lat­er, an­oth­er na­tion­al play­er Kai­him Thomas put De­fence Force ahead for the first time in the con­test and two min­utes in­to time added on at the end of the half, Shaquille Bertrand ex­tend­ed the mar­gin to 3-1.

In the sec­ond half, Moli­no all but se­cured the three points for the Army/Coast Guard com­bi­na­tion out­fit with his sec­ond goal of the con­test, his 11th of the sea­son, and the team's fourth in the 77th minute be­fore Justin Gar­cia added a fifth item two min­utes from full-time to put the ic­ing on an­oth­er dom­i­nant win for Theobald's men.

The first match at Ari­ma on Sat­ur­day al­so pro­duced a bag of goals, with Jabloteh ham­mer­ing Ea­gles FC 5-0, led by a goal each from Dwight Jor­dan, Jadel Carter, Eli­jah Seechan and Der­rel Gar­cia while Kirston Baird al­so net­ted an own goal.

Last night, a dou­ble-head­er was card­ed for the Ken Cook Ground at the St James Po­lice Bar­racks, with AC Port-of-Spain up against Prison FC fol­lowed by Cale­do­nia AIA and Mis­cel­la­neous Po­lice FC.
