Three all-weather fixtures offer plenty of opportunities, among them, Jazz Age in the Maiden Stakes over an extended mile of Wolverhampton polytrack. Jazz Age will be ridden by seven-pounds apprentice, Jonathan Hinch! Who is he? Haven't come across him before but you can bet he'll be proficient. If ex-jockey, Jeremy Glover, sees fit to book him. I will. Once-raced, Jazz Age was a promising fourth, in a similar race, at Bath last month, when trained by John Gosden. Coincidentally or ironically, 'Big John' runs a couple of newcomers, Senate and Riccoche.
Through the fog and mist, Jazz Age stands out like a beacon on my time-handicap and is definitely worth backing and following. I'm looking forward to this race and watching young Hinch! Earlier, champion jockey, Ryan Moore will be fancying his chance on Richard Hannon-trained, Zubova in the Maiden Stakes over five furlongs at Lingfield. Zubova hasn't been out for 110 days. Fitness, apparently, isn't at issue. Hannon has allowed time for this well-bred filly to mature and reports suggest she's ready, to win! So is Lord Of The Dance, mount of Hayley Turner, in the Kempton Handicap over a mile.
No cert, by any means but an outstanding each-way bet, judged on his recent third in a similar race at Wolves. Also, at this meeting, don't miss Hill Of Miller in the Maiden Auction Stakes over six furlongs, if trainer Rae Guest doesn't opt for an alternative Wolverhampton engagement. Weather reports suggest devastation for the jumping cards but with our extra arm on www.1degreeonline.co.uk there willl be a full service, selections and a lot more.
