?Ba­by Dot­tie has an out­stand­ing op­por­tu­ni­ty to get off the mark at the sev­enth at­tempt at Ling­field to­day. None of six ri­vals has any chance what­so­ev­er if Pat Phe­lan's charge can run to her con­sis­tent time-hand­i­cap marks on turf and, sig­nif­i­cant­ly, poly­track. Whe­lan has trained this Dr Fong fil­ly well, ob­vi­ous­ly he'll be frus­trat­ed with her form fig­ures but con­sis­ten­cy usu­al­ly gains re­ward and Ba­by Dot­tie is napped.

There are al­so two jump­ings fix­tures sched­uled for Kel­so and War­wick where Di­vy is a spe­cial' in the Maid­en Hur­dle over an ex­tend­ed two and a half miles; my in­ten­tion is to have an each-way dou­ble in­to Di­vy and Ba­by Dot­tie and, pos­si­bly, a tre­ble! Wheyaye is clear 'best-in' for the open­ing Novices' Hur­dle over two and a quar­ter miles, eight run­ners! As you all know 'non-run­ner' means three places be­come two and so keep an eye on the sit­u­a­tion be­cause Wheyaye is strong­ly-fan­cied to beat a very weak bunch.
