Joel Baylis won the first ma­jor skat­ing cham­pi­onship staged in T&T when he took the top prize at the Bamb­o­ra Surf and Skate/Red­bull Game of Skate at Har­vard Club last Sat­ur­day.

A good crowd was on hand to wit­ness the first at­tempt to in­tro­duce the sport here in T&T and Baylis demon­strat­ed su­perb skat­ing skills to emerge the top play­er on the day.

James Lange was sec­ond and Nicholas Baylis, third. Among the girls was An­na Ali­cia Con­stance who was round­ly ap­plaud­ed for her ef­fort.
