Nikia Spencer and Shiv­oughn Skeete com­bined to lead Po­lice Al­pha to a nar­row 28-27 win over Ma­trix in the To­ba­go Net­ball As­so­ci­a­tion A-Di­vi­sion ‘Big-Four’ at Shaw Park Sports Com­plex, Shaw Park, To­ba­go on Wednes­day.

Goal at­tack Spencer tal­lied 18 goals from 27 at­tempts and Skeete con­vert­ed ten from 19 for Po­lice Al­pha to can­cel the ef­forts of Dahlia An­tho­ny and Janelle To­by, who scored 22 from 34 and five from 11 at­tempts re­spec­tive­ly for Ma­trix.

In the fi­nal to­day (Sat­ur­day, June 23) at the same Shaw Park venue, Po­lice Al­pha will come up against Blaz­ers I af­ter the lat­ter crushed Star Seek­ers 40-17 in their en­counter on Thurs­day night.

For Blaz­ers I, for­mer na­tion­al play­er Abeni Tay­lor led the way with 23 goals from 35 at­tempts while Mauri­cia Nichol­son added nine from 17, and Lennecia Tay­lor, eight from 15.

Rou­mil­ia Smith top-scored for Star Seek­ers with nine goals from 18 at­tempts, for­mer na­tion­al bas­ket­baller Pietra Gay chipped in with six from ten, and Dem­isha Hen­ry, two of sev­en in the loss.
