T&T Red Force for long occupying the cellar position in the West Indies Four-day championship has now moved up to the fifth position after the team's resounding victory over the Jamaica Scorpions at Sabina Park in Jamaica on Sunday.
The team has 28 points after its 157-run victory over the Scorpions. The Scorpions now occupy the last spot on 14.4 points after losing its third consecutive match. The Scorpions removed coach Robert Samuels after its opening loss, however, since then the team has lost its last two contests.
Red Force’s victory is the first in seven matches, after losing six on the trot since last season. The T&T's team opened its current campaign with two back to back losses at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Tarouba, San Fernando.
Red Force will return to the unlucky on Thursday where the team will host Barbados Pride in a day/night encounter bowling off at 2 pm.
The Pride is just ahead of its upcoming host on 29.8 points, so the Red Force will be looking to get the better of them to move higher up the standings.
At the moment, Guyana seems intent on making it five titles in a row, as it lies on top of the standings on 80.2 after a four-match unbeaten run to date.
Guyana is followed by the Leewards Hurricanes on 43.2, with the Windward Islands next with 42.8 points from four matches.
