Studio 7 Dance School, home of the Spartan Cheer Club, is one of eight local dance schools that will take to the stage Thursday (Spetember 18) at the All-Dance America Championship at Hotel El Panama in Panama City, until Saturday (September 20).
Led by tutor Carol Matthew-Webb, the team of 23 dancers ranging from ages five to 42 years from the Studio & Dance School, along with their compatriots, will show off their best dance moves against participants from Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Guatemala, Honduras, Peru, Puerto Rico, Uruguay and host Panama.
This will mark the Studio 7 Dance Group's debut at the prestigious competition, having qualified through their participation in the All-Dance Trinidad competition, which was held at Queen's Hall, St Ann's Road, Port-of-Spain in April.
The Studio 7 Dance Group is a vibrant and dynamic dance school that offers a wide range of dance styles to suit all interests and ages with a team of experienced instructors, the studio provides high-quality training in various dance genres, inclusive of Ballroom, Latin, African, East Indian, contemporary/modern/jazz, hip hop, club Latin, line dances and cheerleading.
In Panama, they will compete in contemporary and modern dance, contemporary ballet, jazz lyrical, Hollywood, modern jazz, all dance open, Latin open, cabaret sauce, ballroom, bachata, all dance salsa, and hip hop.
Over the last 21 years, Studio 7 Dance has established itself as one of the leading dance schools in T&T with a proven track record of success in local, regional, and international dance competitions, with its students consistently demonstrating exceptional skill, artistry, and dedication, earning numerous awards and accolades.
In addition to dancing, members of Studio 7 also engage in game nights, bingo, pool parties, hikes and outdoor activities.
