T&T senior men’s football team coach Dwight Yorke kicked off their preparations for their upcoming Group B Concacaf Final Round 2026 World Cup Qualifier against Curacao at the Hasely Crawford Stadium, Mucurapo, Port-of-Spain, on Friday at 8 pm with a light training session at St Mary’s College Ground, Serpentine Road, St Clair on Monday.
Among the overseas players who were involved in the sessions were the overseas contingent of Levi Garcia (Spartak Moscow/Russia), Justin Garcia (Song Lam Nghe An/Vietnam), Dante Sealy (CF Montreal/USA), Denzil Smith (AV Alta FC/USA), Andre Rampersad (HFX Wanderers/Canada), Ryan Telfer (HFX Wanderers/Canada), Daniel Phillips (Stevenage FC/England), Steffen Yeates (York United FC/Canada), Nathaniel James (Portland Hearts of Pine/USA), Wayne Frederick II (Colorado Rapids/USA), Kaile Auvray (Columbus Crew II/USA), Real Gill (Huntsville City FC/USA), and Triston Hodge (North Carolina FC/USA).
They were joined by the locally based players led by captain Kevin Molino of T&T Defence Force Elite, along with Marvin Phillip (Central FC), Jabari St Hillaire (Defence Force), Isaiah Garcia (T&T Defence Force Elite), Jamal Jack (Central FC), and Kaihim Thomas (T&T Defence Force Elite).
According to T&TFA Press Officer, the rest of the overseas-based players, inclusive of the uncapped trio Kobi Henry (Real Salt Lake/USA), Deron Payne (FC Volendam/Holland), and Jerren Jackie (CD Gouveia/Portugal), along with Noah Powder (Westchester FC/USA), Justin Obikwu (Coventry City/England), Greg Ranjitsingh (New York City/USA), Kobi Henry (Real Salt Lake/USA), Darnell Hospedales (Montego Bay United), Rio Cardines (Crystal Palace/England), and Josiah Trimmingham (Montego Bay United/Jamaica), are expected to arrive by today to join up with the rest of the squad, which will be trimmed by coach Yorke at the end of the day.
Following Friday’s match, the T&T squad will leave for Jamaica on Saturday, September 6, ahead of their meeting with that country on September 9 for a clash with the Jamaica “Reggae Boyz” at the National Stadium in Kingston from 8 pm (7 pm local time).
