The Dream 11 T10 Blast will be head­ing to To­ba­go for the first time and it will take place from 16 to De­cem­ber 3, at the Shaw Park Recre­ation­al Ground in To­ba­go.

Guardian Me­dia Sports spoke to the Pres­i­dent of the To­ba­go Crick­et As­so­ci­a­tion (TCA), Ker­win John, as he ex­pressed his ex­cite­ment to host the event.

“We at the To­ba­go Crick­et As­so­ci­a­tion, feel very priv­i­leged and very ex­cit­ed to be al­lowed to host the tour­na­ment. This

is some­thing we have al­ways thought about and al­ways want­ed, for the event to come to To­ba­go. The fact that we were ac­tu­al­ly giv­en the op­por­tu­ni­ty to host it, we are very glad, he said”

The pres­i­dent con­tin­ued, “ There were four Dream 11 tour­na­ments that took place in Trinidad and we have seen the ben­e­fits of the Dream 11 tour­na­ments. In terms of the play­ers be­ing mar­ket­ed across the world and hav­ing a view­ing au­di­ence of over one hun­dred and forty-five mil­lion peo­ple, so giv­ing the peo­ple of Trinidad and To­ba­go the op­por­tu­ni­ty to show­case their tal­ent.”

The six dif­fer­ent fran­chis­es that will be com­pet­ing in the tour­na­ment, are named af­ter To­ba­go’s tourist at­trac­tion sites as fol­lows: Pi­rates Bay Raiders, Mt Irvine Surfers, Kings Bay Roy­als, No Man’s Land Ex­plor­ers, Pi­geon Point Skiers, and the Store Bay Snorkel­ers.

The play­ers’ draft will take place to­day at 6:30 p.m. but the six fran­chise own­ers will first draw which fran­chise will be­long to them

for the du­ra­tion of the tour­na­ment. It will be in­clu­sive of crick­eters from Guyana, Saint Vin­cent and the Grenadines, and Trinidad and To­ba­go.

Each team will be made up of 14 play­ers, six To­bag­o­ni­ans, sev­en Trinida­di­ans, and one Re­gion­al play­er. Cur­rent­ly, over 200 names are reg­is­tered for the draft.

All teams will be com­pet­ing for a chance to take home the win­ning prize of 100,000 dol­lars. The sec­ond-place win­ner will be award­ed

$50,000 while the third will get $30,000.
