The Unit Trust Corporation (UTC) has partnered with the Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) for the 2025 season of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL T20). The partnership was cemented with a formal contract signing recently.
During the event at UTC’s head office on Independence Square in Port-of-Spain, executive director Nigel Edwards spoke about the natural alignment between cricket and investment, emphasising the shared values of strategy, resilience, and teamwork.
“This collaboration marks the beginning of an exciting journey. We look forward to engaging with the team’s vibrant community and contributing to the dynamic spirit of this sport,” said Edwards.
“Supporting cricket is a natural fit for the Unit Trust Corporation. Like smart investing, cricket is about teamwork, strategy, and resilience. It is about a talented team coming together from diverse backgrounds to represent our nation and its spirit.”
UTC also revealed that an element of this partnership will help support the National Primary Schools Cricket League.
In speaking on the partnership, TKR’s marketing manager, Salina Seepaul, said, “We are thrilled to welcome UTC as a sponsor for TKR ahead of CPL 2025. This partnership celebrates a shared commitment to empowering our communities and delivering unforgettable moments for cricket fans across T&T.
“Together, we look forward to building a winning legacy both on and off the field.”
