MAC's se­nior make up artist and brand am­bas­sador Gisel Calvil­lo, has the re­spon­si­bil­i­ty of en­sur­ing that those in this part of the world re­main abreast with the lat­est trends." I am the voice of the brand. I am one of 52 world wide" says Calvil­lo who rep­re­sents MAC in the North and South Amer­i­c­as , in­clud­ing the Caribbean. Hav­ing joined the elite brand some eight years ago, Calvil­lo has had a back­stage pass to nu­mer­ous fash­ion shows and has been able to hone her craft hav­ing at­tend­ed Fash­ion week in Mi­lan, Paris , Brazil and New York, where she has been ob­serv­ing trends and even du­pli­cat­ed the hottest looks for some of the world's most sought af­ter su­per­mod­els.Last Fri­day, Wom­an­Wise caught up with Calvil­lo last Fri­day at the in- store demon­stra­tion of the lat­est looks at MAC, West Mall.In dis­cussing the hottest "sum­mer" trends on the mar­ket, Calvil­lo re­vealed that there are four new looks each fit­ting for the con­fi­dent woman, the more laid back gal, or maybe the shy girl who wants to re­main "au na­turel."

Here are Cav­il­lo's tips for get­ting the new looks

TREND - TER­RA COP­PER

This look is based on the bronze god­dess, who is tough yet sexy, bold but sub­tle. " It's very stu­dio 54 but in­stead of do­ing it with a bright palette, you are us­ing earth tones to bring about a soft sul­try look" says Calvil­lo.

• Use GUILTY BRONZE on ap­ples of the cheek

• Ap­ply with stick and soft­ly blend it out with brush 188.

TREND - POP CLAS­SICS

As the name in­di­cates, this is def­i­nite­ly a knock out, us­ing colours that def­i­nite­ly 'pop'. " Pop Clas­sics is all about elec­tric, bold, dense colour" Gisel re­veals. " You can use it to cre­ate a strong eye, lip or both. Its for the con­fi­dent girl who likes colour."

Tips

• Use a Ru­by Woo or Mor­ange coloured lip­stick for the lips.

• Ap­ply the Eel Eye­shad­ow to the eyes.

TREND - RAW FINED

For the woman who likes to keep it sim­ple, this trend is def­i­nite­ly for you. " It's about wear­ing nude or min­i­mal make up. It's for hy­drat­ed skin that's well il­lu­mi­nat­ed and healthy"
