'During the month of October, Yoplait and HADCO donated TT$.25 for every tub of Yoplait Yogurt purchased in the stores to the Scotiabank'
For the fifth year running, Yoplait was the GOLD sponsor at the Scotia Bank 5k Classic which took place this quarter, at three locations throughout Trinidad and Tobago simultaneously: Queens Park Savannah PoS, Skinner Park, San Fernando and Store Bay Tobago. The race benefited the Scotiabank Women Against Breast Cancer Fund. The HADCO family and friends united together and sent a YOPLAIT TEAM which took home the trophy for the Largest Corporate Team. It was truly a proud achievement by all. In addition, were ecstatic to have some great male HADCO volunteers distributing Yoplait Yogurt and goodies to the crowd of over five thousand women. One of the highlights of this event was our Yoplait Mural which was signed by many cancer survivors as well as loved ones in memory of those lost to cancer.
The event launched their annual Breast Cancer Campaign. During the month of October, Yoplait and HADCO donated TT$.25 for every tub of Yoplait Yogurt purchased in the stores to the Scotiabank Women Against Breast Cancer and Vitas House in support of the fight against breast cancer, as part of Yoplait's and HADCO's annual Save Lids to Save Lives campaign in Trinidad and Tobago. This year they proudly donated $60,000TT to these foundations. Each year, Yoplait conducts efforts and allocates funds to find the cure to breast cancer. In addition, the brand encourages women to keep good cardiovascular health, prevent osteoporosis and maintain good health in general.Simple changes in eating habits make a difference. A low-fat, high-nutrient diet that includes fibre, calcium, antioxidants and vitamins can help to reduce the risk of developing some types of cancer and other chronic diseases. Early detection helps to save lives and education is key.
