My choice when on an out­door shoot, or even a day of fun at the beach would find me reach­ing for foun­da­tion, to add an ex­tra lay­er of pro­tec­tion and pre­vent me from get­ting too tanned or burnt; I even ap­ply some on my arms and legs for good mea­sure. I know there is a great dilem­ma for women when de­cid­ing up­on which prod­ucts would ac­tu­al­ly work for them in the great out­doors and would stand up to the harsh el­e­ments of sun, sea, sand and hu­mid­i­ty. For the ladies who pre­fer to go bare faced, I rec­om­mend you use an oil free mois­turis­er with an SPF of at least 15 and use a sun­block, not a sun­screen over that. Fol­low with a sun­block of be­tween SPF30 and 45 such as Neu­tro­ge­na Ul­tra Sheer Dry Touch, en­sure your choice of sun­block is wa­ter and not oil based, now add a light, oil free Primer such as M.A.C's Prep + Prime which is for­mu­lat­ed with spe­cial ef­fects sil­i­cones that blot away ex­cess oil and pro­vides a great base for foun­da­tion or Smash­box Pho­to Fin­ish Primer which is al­so oil free and 60% wa­ter based so it's ide­al for oily skin types. The great dilem­ma for most is what type of foun­da­tion to use that would stand up to hu­mid­i­ty. Liq­uid, wa­ter-based foun­da­tions are the right choice. MAC's Face and Body Foun­da­tion is a fan­tas­ti­cal­ly light and sheer foun­da­tion es­pe­cial­ly for­mu­lat­ed for high hu­mid­i­ty, it is both wa­ter based and wa­ter re­sis­tant, and Es­tee Laud­er Dou­ble Wear Stay-In-Place SPF 10 Foun­da­tion is al­so a great hu­mid­i­ty buster.
