Caribbean Fash­ion­week, the Caribbean's pre­mier fash­ion and style event was held this year at the Na­tion­al In­door Sports Cen­tre, Kingston, Ja­maica, June 7-11. Here is a re­view of the lat­est col­lec­tion 'Col­lage' by De­sign­er Saleem Samuels. Saleem has been in the Fash­ion In­dus­try for the past twen­ty years as both a Fash­ion De­sign­er and Fash­ion Co­or­di­na­tor. He has fea­tured sev­er­al of his own fash­ion col­lec­tions dur­ing this span of time. His de­signs have al­so been fea­tured in Bar­ba­dos, St. Kitts and Brook­lyn Fash­ion Week and have con­tin­ued to grow in both men's and women's ready to wear gar­ments. Saleem's col­lec­tion 'Col­lage" fo­cus­es on de­signs for both fe­males and males. Col­lage is a com­bi­na­tion of full blown so­phis­ti­ca­tion and flair blend­ed in­to a melt­ing pot with a hint of Latin Amer­i­can fla­vor com­pris­ing of bold colours, graph­ic pat­terns and new shapes which trans­lates in­to de­signs that are mod­ern, edgy and aes­thet­i­cal­ly pleas­ing. Specif­i­cal­ly catered to to­day's women who are chic and de­sires con­crete el­e­gance. Men in sin­gle breast­ed two and three but­ton suits made out of peau-di-sioe satin in colours that com­mand at­ten­tion and tai­lor­ing to com­pli­ments the frame of a man. The rein­ven­tion of jumpers that are mas­cu­line, ath­let­ic and easy to wear.
