Alberta Ferretti is one of Italy's famous fashion designers and dressmakers, her showroom is located in Milan but her studio is nestled within the picturesque village of Cattolica, Italy. This is where she finds her inspiration to dream up new looks and concepts for her upcoming collections that have been steaming up the runways since 1981. This Autumn/Winter 2012 season, you will be sure to spot the simple and utilitarian looks that A. Ferretti has been going for, her models strutting their stuff on the catwalks and in the fashion and beauty magazines world over. This makeup look seems to be inspired by the clothes and is very masculine and architectural in its approach.
This type of makeup trend seeks to explore the contours and construction of the face by sculpting the features and adding depth to the face with shadows rather than the summer's craze of hyper-highlighting. In its purest form, this look is about a nude sculptural face as a canvas for the brow, straighter, stronger and more purposefully groomed, this type of brow is the axis of what makes these honed, nude looks so contemporary. This trend that looks so effortless and easy to achieve is however a highly technical form of beauty, it's all about proper and strategic placement of highlighters and contours on the face with the use of natural colours. Hone-Structure which takes its' name from the obvious, seeks to do just that, to capture the basic essence of a woman's face by masterfully sculpting the natural bone structure with light and dark products.
