Co­or­di­na­tor of NGOs for the ad­vance­ment of women, Hazel Brown, is tonight chal­leng­ing the prime min­is­ter's po­si­tion on the re­moval of VAT from food items.

Brown says there is prob­a­bly a need to bet­ter de­fine what is food, as she main­tains that the ma­jor­i­ty of food prod­ucts have al­ready been ze­ro-rat­ed. Brown was one of sev­er­al speak­ers at to­day's post-bud­get pan­el dis­cus­sion host­ed by the Cham­ber of In­dus­try and Com­merce.
