?Firts FC Santa Rosa and Harlem Strikers both won their opening matches in Championship Divisions of the T&T Football Federation National Youth League on Thursday. Playing at the Ato Boldon Stadium, Couva Training Field, Santa Rosa Under-17 players blanked Club Sando 2-0 with goals from Jean-Paul Aqui-Blanc in the 52nd minute and Robert Alexis in the 67th minute.
Harlem Strikers and Point Fortin Civic Centre battled to a 1-1 draw in the other U-17 main group encounter at Frederick Settlement, Couva. The other team in the five-team round-robin series bmobile Joe Public was on a bye.
Strikers completed a miserable day for Club Sando as a third minute own-goal handed the Central-based team a win on at Couva in their U-15 Division clash.
Joe Public, Santa Rosa and 1976 Phoenix Sports Club are the other teams.
In the Plate Divisions, Central Football Academy, Queen's Park CC, Moruga FC, Point Fortin CC and M&M Harvard are the U-15 competing clubs while Phoenix, Defence Force, Queen's Park ad Mayaro Spurs are in the U-17 age-group.
