The T&T based rock "n" roll band jointpop, will perform live at the annual Noise n Toys concert on December 14, at The Nex Door Pub on Ariapita Avenue, Woodbrook . This year Noise n Toys doubles as the jointpop Christmas office party and a toy collection concert.
Patrons are asked to bring a toy as part of the door entry, and all toys collected on the night will be distributed to various underprivileged homes across the country. "It's normally a very fun and entertaining night, and people go all out to get the toys, even as far as gift wrapping and labelling them with the info of gender and age group.
"It's been a very good year for us, with the release of our new album, The Longest Kiss Goodnight, and just back from two very successful gigs at the Virgin Holidays Music Festival in Barbados. This is the sixth edition of Noise n Toys, and this gig is something we are always committed to, just to bring some Christmas cheer to some children who are not as privileged as others. All we ask is no toy guns, seriously," said Gary Hector, singer of jointpop.
Jointpop band members, Hector, Damon Homer, Dion Camacho, Phil Hill, and Jerome Girdharrie, will hit the stage around 10.30 pm, and fans can look forward to jointpop favourites like, Monday Morning Love Situation, Loveless Street, $oul$ Going Cheap, and Let's Pray (for rock n roll), plus some surprise songs from the band's extensive back catalogue.
DJ 3 Imaginary Boys will supply the styles. The doors are open from 8pm, and entry costs TT$40, plus a toy. For more information, visit Jointpop on Facebook, or e-mail HYPERLINK "mailto:theband@jointpop.com" theband@jointpop.com, or call 765-3182.
