The new chief executive officer of Digicel T&T is John Delves. His appointment will take effect in April. He replaces Niall Dorrian, who has been CEO of Digicel T&T since 2007. Dorrian will be taking up the role as interim CEO of Digicel Panama. In a statement, Digicel said that Delves, currently the general manager, Digicel OECS North. Prior to that, Delves was CEO of Digicel Vanuatu.
The telecommunications group said Delves has been responsible for propelling outstanding growth in terms of customers and driving revenues. "In his new role, he will bring to bear the wealth of experience and knowledge he's acquired during his tenure at the helm of our T&T business.
"In what is a highly competitive environment, he was able to drive five years of fantastic growth and achievement in terms of customer numbers and revenues. Customer confidence was amplified under his watch, always delivering on Digicel's commitment to best value, service and network and to giving back to its communities.
"A focus on innovation and unique promotions are some of the defining aspects of his leadership, during which time there was a quantum leap in subscribers to data plans and corporate client acquisitions. He leaves in his wake, a strong team and a company poised to take Trinidad and Tobago into the next cutting-edge phase of telecommunications," read the Digicel statement.
Digicel Group Ltd is present in 31 markets in the Caribbean, Central America and the Pacific.
