Ka­reem Moses of North East Stars is the lone un­capped play­er in an 18-man na­tion­al squad named by in­ter­im coach Hut­son "Bar­ber" Charles for a friend­ly in­ter­na­tion­al away to Cana­da on Wednes­day at the Cen­tral Broward Re­gion­al Com­plex in Fort Laud­erdale. The match is be­ing used as part of T&T's prepa­ra­tions for the Dig­i­cel Cup qual­i­fiers. Moses, a mem­ber of the Un­der-23 Olympic squad, re­cent­ly trans­fered from St Ann's Rangers to Stars and joins club-mates Seon Pow­ers and goal­keep­er Cleon John, an­oth­er new sign­ing from the de­funct San Juan Jabloteh in the squad named by Charles, who will be in charge of the se­nior squad for on­ly the sec­ond-time af­ter start­ing with a 4-0 away to An­tigua & Bar­bu­da in Feb­ru­ary.

The squad in­cludes sev­en over-seas based play­ers in Bel­gium-based mid­field­er, Khaleem Hy­land (KRC Genk), Van­cou­ver White­caps' de­fend­er Car­lyle Mitchell, mid­field­er Hughton Hec­tor of Viet­nam's Song Lam Nghe An, Char­lotte Ea­gles' strik­er Dar­ryl Roberts, Or­lan­do City Li­ons mid­field­er, Kevin Moli­no, speedy winger Lester "Corn Curls" Pelti­er of Slo­va­kia's SK Slo­van Bratisla­va and mid­field­er Keon Daniel of US Ma­jor League Soc­cer's Philadel­phia Union. The oth­er mem­bers of the team which will de­part on Mon­day for Flori­da are W Con­nec­tion trio, Daniel Cyrus, Jo­evin Jones and Clyde Leon and the De­fence Force trio of Rodell El­cock, De­vorn Jorsling and Richard "Sha­ka" Roy.

Speak­ing ear­li­er this month Charles said he knows Cana­da is an or­gan­ised team which has shown good form in their World Cup qual­i­fy­ing match­es re­cent­ly. Cana­da, coached by T&T-born Stephen Hart, is prepar­ing for World Cup qual­i­fiers against Pana­ma and Cu­ba in Sep­tem­ber. Fol­low­ing the Cana­da match, T&T will be away to Puer­to Ri­co next month while an in­vi­ta­tion has been ex­tend­ed from a Eu­ro­pean op­po­nent for a match to be played at a lat­er date.
