Had it been a "bat­tle of the sex­es" women would have won hands down. Last Sun­day's Bol­ly­wood C2K11 (UWI's an­nu­al all-in­clu­sive Car­ni­val Fete) at­tract­ed beau­ti­ful women of all de­scrip­tions, in­clud­ing two Miss Uni­verse win­ners, Janelle Pen­ny Com­mis­siong-Chow and Wendy Fitzwilliams, and for­mer Miss World Giselle La Ronde-West. Then there were oth­er beau­ty queens and mod­els, de­sign­ers and many of the beau­ti­ful peo­ple in fash­ion and show busi­ness.

Head­ing the dig­ni­taries in at­ten­dance were Pres­i­dent George Maxwell Richards and his wife, Dr Jean Ramjohn-Richards, and daugh­ter Max­ine Richards; politi­cians Wade Mark, Anand Ram­lo­gan, Dr Tim Gopeesingh, Nan Ro­drawa­tee Ram­goolam, Lyn­di­ra Ou­ditt, Rudy In­dars­ingh, Don­na Cox and Gary Grif­fith; and, of course, Prof Clement Sankat, prin­ci­pal, St Au­gus­tine Cam­pus, UWI, and Prof Rho­da Red­dock, deputy prin­ci­pal, UWI, St Au­gus­tine.

UWI's all-in­clu­sive Car­ni­val fete is held an­nu­al­ly to source rev­enue for the cam­pus En­dow­ment Fund.

En­sur­ing that every­one in at­ten­dance had a great time, mu­sic and en­ter­tain­ment were sup­plied Roy Cape All Stars, Kar­ma, Kes the Band, Dil-e-Nadan, Ben­jai, David Rud­der and oth­ers. The par­ty was held in per­fect weath­er on the grounds of the cam­pus prin­ci­pal's of­fice, UWI, St Au­gus­tine.
