Po­lice are seek­ing the pub­lic's as­sis­tance in iden­ti­fy­ing the body of a man found yes­ter­day on the Churchill- Roo­sevelt High­way, Barataria. At around 6.30 am peo­ple work­ing in the area dis­cov­ered the body wrapped in sev­er­al bed­sheets near a con­crete slab. They im­me­di­ate­ly no­ti­fied the po­lice. The body was viewed by the dis­trict med­ical of­fi­cer and or­dered re­moved to the Foren­sic Sci­ence Cen­tre for an au­top­sy.

The man, of African de­scent, was in his 30s, bare­back but clad in box­er shorts and knee-length pants.There were mul­ti­ple stab wounds about the body and his throat was slit. Any­one with in­for­ma­tion can call 555, 800-TIPS or the near­est po­lice sta­tion.
