Have a clean space
I do not know about you, but when my space is a mess, I’m a mess. Having a messy house, room or even car can make you feel like everything is hectic, rushed and out of place. You will find if you clean up your act, you will approach everyday life with a clearer head and a better approach to the day. No more hassle to get around; you start your day with clear intentions and come home to a clean space to unwind and rest.
Write down your thoughts
When there is a lot on a person’s mind it usually becomes very difficult to find any kind of peace or even rest. Can you relate? If you find yourself having a lot of unorganised thoughts running through your mind, try writing them down.
By having a planner or journal where you can write everything, your daily goals become clearer. That way you know what you have to do and you approach the day feeling less stressed about what you have to get done.
Set goals
One of the main reasons we find ourselves lacking clarity in life is when we have no direction. We are going day-to-day without having a clear path and knowing what we are working towards.
If we practice goal-setting, we will have a better idea of what we are trying to accomplish. We become more likely to stay committed and follow through to succeed the goal. Ask yourself what you would like to accomplish in life, it can be big or small, just make sure it means something to you. The feeling when you finally achieve it is like no other.
Eat Well
Have you ever heard the term ‘brain fog’ or the word ‘lethargic’? Brain fog is usually what happens when you lack mental clarity; you find yourself forgetting things and feeling generally drained. Lethargy, by definition, is a lack of energy or enthusiasm. Both of these are usually common side effects of poor nutrition, as well as weight gain, obesity, hypertension, diabetes and the list can go on.
Try removing coffee and sugar for a week and fuel your body with the right ingredients like fresh fruits and greens. The results will speak for themselves.
Practice Self-care
Life gets hectic, and there is never really time to do anything for yourself. Take time at least one evening a week to pamper yourself and relax.
Do whatever feels right for you. Whether it is watching a movie, taking a nap, spending time with friends or family, a facial or whatever it may be, take the time for you and you will find yourself feeling relaxed and ready to get back to life.
Sleep and Relax
Lack of sleep and not being relaxed are two of the biggest reasons for the mind becoming cluttered. One can be physically, mentally or emotionally tired and the results are always the same—you will lack clarity.
For our bodies to grow we need to eat well, exercise regularly and give our bodies enough time to rest and recover. If you are getting at least seven to eight hours of sleep a night, your body should feel rested enough so that you can get up feeling refreshed and energised.
