The Rotary Club of Princes Town recently distributed 30 devices to three secondary schools. Parents of students from St Stephen’s College, Princes Town West Secondary School, and Cowen Hamilton Secondary School received Lenovo devices together valued at $33,000.
Rotary Club officials said the consensus was that the Lenovo 8” Smart Charge Tablet with Google Assist was best suited to the needs of secondary students.
Club president Rishi Ramlogan said: “The donation of the tablets were facilitated by a grant from the Rotary District 7030 to the club with the aim to transform education and change the lives of the students who need help the most.”
Several parents expressed relief and appreciation after receiving the devices.
