If you sweat with her, you might just keep her! It is time you consider how physical fitness can benefit your health and well being while positively impacting your relationship. That being the case, you just might want to invite your girlfriend/wife to be your workout buddy now.
Throughout the years of being involved in the Fitness/Wellness industry, I have observed an interesting trend that seems to be supported by a growing body of evidence. It indicates that couples who sweat together really do stay together. As a matter of fact, physical activities have a natural tendency to increase a person’s state of happiness as the body releases Endorphins, Dopamine, Oxytocin and Serotonin also known as ‘stress regulators’ or as I like to say the ‘joy juices’. Therefore, exercise is a perfect example of the type of invigorating activity that can have these desirable effects. It’s the physiological stimulation rather than the newness or challenge of the activity that causes the romantic fire to “blaze up de place”. So, I am suggesting that you start today. Guys, you are going to be so surprised by how your interactions with your significant other will improve with just a few exercise sessions together. So, please don’t hesitate to set some fitness goals, do some CrossFit, take walks together, maybe a three to five kilometre run, take dance classes, do aerobics or be innovative enough to consider a date night at the gym. Trust me, I am telling you from experience that this can only boost your relationship.
Some men are way too inflexible; we just cannot continue to allow our environment to program us. From a physiological standpoint the benefits of having your significant other as your workout buddy goes a long way. The mere presence of your partner can affect your ability to perform an activity even better; after all, this is the person you want to impress right? It doesn’t matter how proficient you are, speed and energy naturally increases without you even being conscious of it just due to your person’s presence. Plus, a good time to talk about some of the stress at work or in life can be while taking a walk. You can literally make your partner’s sexual attraction to you increase astronomically because exercise induces the symptoms of physiological arousal—sweaty hands, a racing pulse, shortness of breath which mirror, in many ways, the thrill of romantic attractions. However, believe it or not, oftentimes, some people can easily mistake the two and misattribute physical arousal for romantic attractions and get themselves in a world of problems with others. It is in consideration of this that I am suggesting that you enjoy these types of activities with YOUR romantic interest. So guys, please use this phenomenon to your advantage (trust me on this one) by inviting YOUR romantic interest to workout with you. The results? A likely boost to your attractiveness in her eyes.
