The Garden Club of Trinidad recently hosted a fundraising tea and garden party at Mille Fleurs, one of the Magnificent Seven and home to The National Trust of Trinidad and Tobago.
The Garden Club has offered to re-establish the garden at this stately period home and all proceeds of the tea party will be used towards this project. Landscaping has already begun and completion is expected by year’s end.
Three hundred guests attended this event with many ladies elegantly dressed completely with stylish hats.
While tea was being served guests were serenaded by classical guitar music, expertly performed by Stefan Roach.
The Garden Club also presented a $10,000 cheque to Mr Bernard Beckles, lead designer and Mr Tony Tang Kai, co-ordinator who are part of the group of horticultural experts who will represent T&T at The Royal Horticultural Society Chelsea Flower Show in London, England.
