"They call me Queenie, Liz, Duchess, Majesty and Your Highness. I have the names going!" Queen Anne Elizabeth Graham tells me as we sit talking at her home. She mentions a friend who has called her "Majesty" since childhood.
"I have to look up to you," this friend tells her, even today. "You always taking care of us."
People from Tobago, Trinidad and various parts of the world approach this regal, highly-spiritual woman for healing and advice. At the age of eleven, in her first spiritual vision, she was given 'the seven herbal secrets' which are incorporated in the natural soaps, oils, creams, shampoos and internal body cleansers she produces.
Before-and-after photos and oral testimonies highlight young and old clients with various conditions who have benefited from the healing properties of the 55-year old Queen's products."Do you have a throne?" I am moved to ask her.
"Sometimes I feel like I am on a throne," she says. "My throne is how I deal with people. I'm down to earth, I'm every honest and the truth is what I'm for. I love to help people, I love to give...and bottom line–I'm a loving, loving person. If you do not know about God and love your Saviour, then you cannot be what I just speak about.
"When I dress and go out there, I feel different. People ask: 'Queen Anne, what you drinking? What you eating?' I tell them it come from the heart. You have to have a good heart and love the Lord to look like this."She informs me that faith moves mountains and has moved many mountains for her.
Example: In 2003 she received a phone call. Her son, while playing football, had had an accident and was in hospital, with slim chances of survival."I went to him, prayed and left," Queen Anne says. "I said: 'Father if it is your will, you will take control of this. You lent me him for a while and if this is his time, then I thank you very much for the little I had with him'."
After a month, her son's condition worsened. He was transferred to St Clair Hospital, Trinidad, for surgery.Queen Anne's reaction to his comatose state was:
"One Sunday morning I got down on my knees on the eastern side and asked God to protect and heal him of all his pain. When I finished praying a wind came with the noise of a tornado."
Her ex husband, who had been sleeping, heard nothing, but saw evidence upon waking–his hats on the ground, the wardrobe 'leaning one-side' and fallen louvres."Queen Ann, what went wrong?" he had asked.
"I pray and asked God to heal my son...and I hear a voice say: 'You pray and asked for Me to heal your son and here you frighten your own self.'"
"But Queen Anne, I didn't talk to you," her ex had said.
Queen Anne promptly phoned her niece in Trinidad to inquire about her son and to recount the experience."Tantie Elizabeth, you had a vision without sleeping," her niece had said.
"I told her that Tuesday morning at 10.30 my son will be on his feet. Wednesday morning at 11:25 he got up walking. What God told me...He did it. He showed me. So there is nothing could fool me or tell me that God will not help you."
