A brazen shooting along the highway near the Beetham Gardens yesterday claimed the life of a man and resulted in a traffic jam for commuters exiting the capital city. The victim has been identified as 26-year-old Shakeem Reid.

A 31-year-old man from Brazil Village is currently detained at the Maloney Police Station in connection with the alleged seizure of a Glock 26 Pistol with one magazine and 12 rounds of nine-millimetre ammunition. The pistol and ammunition were reportedly seized last night by officers of the said station and the Northern Division Task Force during a roadblock exercise in the San Rafael area.
