Two soldiers are among four men held for being in possession of a firearm. The four were apprehended during a police exercise, last evening.
The officers are said to be a 23-year-old from Springvale in Claxton Bay, and a 24-year-old from Gonzales Quarry in Belmont.
Reports are both soldiers as well as the two other men also had a quantity of ammunition in their possession.
They were arrested after the vehicle in which they were travelling was intercepted by officers of the Road Policing Task Force and of the Freeport Highway Patrol Unit.
Some 21 separate fixed penalty notices also were issued during the police exercise.
