Two weeks after the owner of a business place in Diego Martin secured it and left, he met it broken into and over $11,000 worth of tools missing upon his return.
According to a police report, the 47-year-old owner of Prestige Woodworking located at La Factory Road, Diego Martin, secured his premises by locking all doors and windows approximately two weeks ago in the afternoon period and left.
He returned at about 9.30 am on Thursday and realised it had been broken into. Several tools were missing, including two palm sanders valued at $895 each, two granite polishers valued at $3,000 each, two cordless drills valued at $1,000 and one heavy drill valued at $1,600, totalling $11,390.
Police said several possible entry points were seen: a broken glass door with an unsecured burglar-proof gate and another, a broken wall secured with galvanised iron, which was bent open. Police said there were no CCTV cameras in the vicinity.
