A Chaguanas bar was closed down for several health and safety infringements.
Officers attached to the Central Division along with Occupational Safety and Health Authority personnel, went to the bar at Railway Road, Chaguanas around 1.30 pm, on January 21st.
According to police reports, they served Prohibition Notices to the manager of the establishment with instructions to immediately halt operations due to the health and safety infringements. The bar was immediately shut down.
The establishment had been previously inspected by Central Division Officers, Customs and Excise personnel and Trinidad and Tobago Fire Services personnel in the presence of the manager. During the inspection, multiple health and safety issues were identified and brought them to the attention of the owner.
