A bandit has allegedly robbed two members of staff of the Drugs Sou Sou (DSS) of $325,000 in cash that they were carrying in a duffle bag on Thursday evening.
Denisha Ramirez, 32, of Circular Road, Peytonville, a nurse assigned to the North Central Regional Health Authority and a bookkeeper for DSS, told police that around 6.30 pm she and her brother, Vernon Ramirez, 34, of Nuts Drive, Race Course Road, Carapo, Arima, were leaving the Trincity Mall when they were approached by a man who snatched the black duffle bag from them.
The money, police said, was collected for the DSS.
Vernon told police he attempted to fight off the thief but that the assailant managed to escape in a waiting vehicle.
Investigations are continuing.
