A rifle, quantities of ammunition and marijuana have been seized by officers of the Western Division CID, the Gang Unit and officers of
the Western Division Task Force, during an anti-crime exercise conducted in Diego Martin.
The exercise, coordinated by Senior Supt Aguilal, Supt Thompson, ASP Parriman and Insp Birbal and including a party of officers from the K9 Unit, was conducted between 2 am and 8.30am, police said.
During the exercise, several warrants were executed for people of interest relative to recent shootings in the West End district, which included Covigne Road.
Three men were arrested for possession of a rifle, a large quantity of ammunition, and a small quantity of marijuana.
Investigations are ongoing.
Girl, 12, reported missing
Police were up to late yesrterday looking for 12-year-old Cecilia Mathison who has been reported missing.
The police said Cecilia, of Fyzabad, was last seen leaving home around 5.30pm on Thursday to go to Fyzabad Junction, but has not
returned home since.
She was reported missing to the Fyzabad Police Station on Friday
Cecilia is of mixed descent, five feet six inches tall, with a brown complexion, short curly hair and was last seen wearing a red jersey, grey tights, and a pair of
black slippers.
