A 40 year old man, of Chance Street, Buccoo, Tobago, is expected to appear in the Scarborough Magistrates’ Court today charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of marijuana, possession of a prohibited weapon namely a taser and possession of jewelry believed to be stolen.
The man was arrested on Wednesday night after officers from the Crown Point Police Station, led by acting Corporal Thomas, executed a search warrant for dangerous drugs at the man’s home.
Police said officers found and seized 12 packets of cocaine, weighing 287 grammes valued at $15,000 and 1.1grammes of marijuana valued $50. The value of the jewelry is yet to be ascertained.
Police have asked that anyone whose jewelry was stolen to contact the Crown Point Police Station at 639-0020 or 639-0042 or the nearest police station.
