A couple was arrested for possession of firearm and ammunition during an anti-crime exercise in Arima this morning.
Officers executed a search warrant at the home of the male and female suspects of Cool Brain Trace, Arima, where they found and seized one Berretta 9mm pistol and 13 rounds 9mm ammunition.
Both suspects were arrested and taken to the Arima Police Station.
The exercise was coordinated by the Snr Supt Ramkhalawan, spearheaded by Supt Edwards, supervised by Sgt Ali and included W/Cpl Batson Fletcher and PCs Reid, Pompey, Brown, Bernard and Joseph. Sgt Ali is continuing enquiries.
