A Diego Martin couple was arrested, and a firearm and a quantity of marijuana seized, by officers of the Western Division during an anti-crime exercise conducted in the district around 6 pm yesterday, Tuesday 19th January 2021.
During the exercise, officers executed a search warrant at the Roxborough Extension home of a 36-year-old male suspect. The search resulted in officers finding one Glock pistol loaded with eight rounds of ammunition, along with 1.12 kilogrammes of compressed marijuana in the house. The drug has an estimated street value of $11,200.
Police arrested the suspect and a 34-year-old woman, both of whom were found in the house at the time of the exercise.
The exercise was coordinated by Snr. Supt. Kelvern Thompson, ASP Baird, Insp. Reyes and Insp. (Ag.) Grant, was conducted by officers of the Western Division Task Force.
Investigations are ongoing.
