A 5.2 magnitude earthquake in Venezuela was reportedly felt in Trinidad.
The earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers around 1.48 pm yesterday 91 km West of Tucupita, 85 km North, North West of Ciudad Guayana, and 80 km South East of Maturín, Venezuela.
The automatic notification was posted to the University of the West Indies (UWI) Seismic Research Centre’s Facebook page. Under the post, locals said the earthquake was felt in areas such as Arima, Couva, Chagauanas, San Fernando and Moruga.
The last earthquake reported in the region was a 4.2 magnitude occurring at a depth of 10 kilometers on April 25 between Caribbean islands Dominica and Martinique.
