Quick action on the part of Emergency Response Patrol (ERP) officers in the San Fernando district yesterday, led to the arrest of a teenaged suspect for robbery and the recovery of the belongings he stole from his 37-year-old female victim.
According to an official police report, on Wednesday 28th October, 2020, around 3:40 pm, the woman was walking along Circular Road in San Fernando when she was ambushed by a man who robbed her of her purse, which contained her cell phone and a quantity of cash.
The man then fled on foot along Solomon Street, Vistabella.
Acting on information received, PC John and a party of officers attached to the ERP responded. They arrested the 17-year-old male suspect, of Springhill Avenue, Tarodale, for robbery with violence.
The TTPS release says charges in this case are imminent.
