A 46-year old farmer is expected to appear before a Siparia Magistrate today, charged with possession of a gun, ammunition, and cultivating marijuana.
According to police reports, on September 13th, between the hours of 5 am to 8 am an anti-crime exercise was conducted in the South-Western Division (SWD).
The exercise was coordinated by Snr Supt. Brandon John, ASP Ramdeen, Insp Simon and supervised by Sgt Breedy, Cpls Lake and Prince and other officers of the SWD Task Force.
Officers went to the Carapal Road, Erin home of the farmer with a search warrant.
While there, the officers discovered one shotgun, three rounds of 12 gauge cartridges and six marijuana trees which is over the legal limit of four per adult. Harold Loubon was arrested and charged by PC Weston for the offences.
