Former Clerk of the House of Representatives Jacqui Sampson Meiguel is now the Ombudsman of Trinidad and Tobago.
She was sworn in Speaker Bridgid Annisette-George, MP. She will serve for a period of three years. Mrs. Sampson Meiguel is an attorney-at-law and a former Clerk of the House, having served in that capacity from 1995 to 2024. She brings to the office her many years of experience in public service as a senior manager and accounting officer.
Jacqui Sampson Meiguel retired in October last year after 37 years as Clerk.
