The Trinidad and Tobago Lotto Agents Association (TTLAA) is calling on the Minister of Finance Colm Imbert to intervene in the running of the National Lotteries Control Board (NLCB) or their members would desist from selling lottery tickets and return the machines to the control board.
In a press conference today, the TTLAA president, Allen Campbell, described the lotteries governing agency as a" runaway horse". He said the NLCB continues to give agents conflicting information and unilaterally suppressing their machines.
The organisation accused the NLCB of "strong arming" the agents.
Campbell said they have constantly been meeting with the NLCB chairman Eustace Nancis, however, while he has heard and understands their plight, nothing is being done to resolve them.
This is why TTLAA director, Dean Persad called on the Minister of Finance to conduct a forensic audit on the company.
If their concerns are not alleviated, he said, they would discontinue the operation of the NLCB machines as their grievances far outweigh any financial benefit.
