A sales clerk was robbed of over $4,000 at her workplace on Wednesday, October 5.
According to initial reports, the robbery took place around 3:55 pm while the 26-year-old woman was conducting sales at Blue Notes Lotto Booth at Coffee Street, San Fernando.
According to reports, a man wearing a blue t-shirt and white cap walked up to the service window, placed a black plastic bag through the slot window and announced a robbery.
He reportedly demanded that the sales clerk place all the money in the bag. Fearful for her safety, she put $ 4,672—which was the day's sales—in the bag and gave it to the suspect.
The suspect grabbed the bag and ran off.
Cpl Rosan of the Mon Repos Police visited the scene and is conducting inquiries.
