A Moruga man is expected to appear before a Rio Claro Magistrate via video-conferencing tomorrow, charged with the 2019 murder of Damien Mollineau. Kevin Coker, 25, of Edward Trace, Moruga, was charged with the offence following advice received from Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions, Joan Honore-Paul, on May 23rd. According to police reports, Mr. Mollineau, 40, a gardener, also of Edward Trace, Moruga, was at his garden on December 26th, 2019, when he was shot about the body by a gunman. He was rushed to the Princes Town District Health Facility for treatment where he died. Investigations supervised by Insps. Corrie and Persad, were launched into the incident and Coker subsequently gave himself up to officers of the Homicide Bureau of Investigations (HBI), Region 3 on Monday May 18th 2020. Coker was charged by PC Gaffar of HBI Region 3, on May 23rd.
