Tobago police are investigating the murder of Omari Matthews 21, of Mt. Hay Trace, Black Rock.
At around 1.30 am yesterday, Matthews was at Courland Bush Trace, Black Rock, along the roadway when an argument erupted with two men he knew. The men got into a grey Toyota Aqua, but when Matthews approached the vehicle, three loud explosions were heard. He was shot in the neck and fell to the ground.
The vehicle with the three assailants then sped off.
Matthews was taken to the Scarborough General Hospital but died while undergoing emergency treatment.
Two male suspects from Plymouth have been detained and are assisting police with their investigations.
Tobago Homicide Bureau is continuing investigations.
Couva labourer chopped in dispute
A Couva labourer was hospitalised on Friday after being chopped.
Around 6 pm on Friday, Curtis Garcia, 53, of Mc Bean Village, was with friends at Dindial Stockyard when he was approached by the suspect who was armed with a cutlass.
Eyewitnesses said an argument ensued between the two over monies Garcia reportedly owed the suspect. The suspect began chopping Garcia about the body.
The bleeding man was taken to the Couva Health Facility where he was treated before being transferred to the San Fernando General Hospital. He was warded in a stable condition up to late yesterday.

Body in car park still unidentified
The decomposing body of a woman found in a car park in Port-of-Spain on Friday is yet to be identified.
Around 11.50 am, an anonymous caller told police a body had been seen on the ground at a private car park on Henry Street. Officers went to the location and were forced to break the lock on the gate to gain access to the car park.
Officers said there were no marks of violence on the body which was of a woman of African descent. The deceased had a rasta hairstyle, was around five feet, ten inches tall and was clutching a bottle of Hard Wine.
Woman shot dead in Laventille
La Toya Hughes, 31, was shot as she was about to enter her car which was parked on Trou Macauque Road, Laventille, near Hitler Trace.
Eyewitnesses reported seeing an unknown vehicle stop before the occupants opened fire on Hughes. The injured woman ran a short distance away into a compound for help and collapsed.
Officers from the Inter-Agency Task Force who responded to the call for assistance found Hughes unresponsive. She was later pronounced dead at the scene.
Hughes had been shot several times in the lower extremities.
Investigations are continuing.
