The Water and Sewerage Authority is advising customers in parts of central Trinidad, served by the Caroni Water Treatment plant, that there would be an interruption in their pipe borne water supply tomorrow between the hours of 6 am and 6 pm.
In a statement yesterday the authority said this has become necessary in order to facilitate repairs to a defective valve off the Caroni South Trunk Transmission System, located along the Caroni South Bank Road, Kelly Village.
Areas to be affected are Caroni, St Helena, Felicity, Charlieville, Munroe Road, Warrenville, Longdenville, Caparo, Enterprise, Cunupia, Chaguanas, Endeavour, Carapichaima, Waterloo, Chase Village, Freeport, Gran Couva, Mayo, Couva, Dow Village, Basta Hall, Milton and California.
WASA is also advising that it may take up to 24 hours for the scheduled pipe borne water supply to normalise to some affected areas after repair works have been completed.
Motorists are also asked to proceed with caution in the vicinity of the jobsite. For further information or assistance, customers can contact WASA’s Customer Call Centre toll free at 800-4420/4426.
The authority has apologised for the inconvenience and thanks customers for their patience and understanding.
